Win Some Crash Some of the Day: David Dopp, a Frito-Lay truck driver from Utah, was the proud owner of a brand-new, mint-condition, lime-green Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster for all of six hours after the car winning in a contest.
The 34-year-old father of six picked up the keys from a Maverik rep after winning it in the convenience store chain’s “Joe Schmo to Lambo” contest.
Six hours later, while joy riding in his luxury convertible, Dopp says he “hit some black ice and spun out.” Police blamed the car’s summer tires, which they said were not suited for the icy conditions Dopp encountered.
No one was injured, and the damage wasn’t anything a body shop couldn’t fix.
Still, Dopp says he plans to sell the car, though he will likely have to settle for substantially less than its original estimated value of $358,000.

I was just talking about this with my co-workers yesterday! It didn’t even last 24 hours. WHAT AN IDIOT
This sounds like something that would happen to me, honestly.
